Social Concerns Committee

Mission Statement
The mission
of the Social Concerns Committee is to provide an opportunity for the
spiritual growth of the parishioners of the Saints Peter and Paul Parish
by:
- Developing opportunities
for our parishioners to participate in fulfilling the Social Mission
of the Church
- Through a variety
of expression (Awareness, Advocacy, Action and Prayer) contributing
directly to the Church's Social Mission.
Current Activities
The following
areas serve as the current focus for our programs:
- To provide service
to the elderly of our parish
- To provide assistance
to the poor
- To continue outreach
to our local multi-cultural community in concert with the broader
civic and religious community
- To support respect
for life activities and organizations
- To raise awareness,
advocate and act to protect the environment
- To promote and
participate in the Catholic Representation in the political process
We seek to involve
all segments of our parish in our activities and welcome all who wish
to participate.
