Preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, the Sacraments of healing Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick as well as preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage are vital to the Mission of the Church. The parish offers special helps and opportunities for these steps on your faith journey.

Baptism
Baptisms are scheduled during any weekend Mass or the first and third Sundays of the month at noon. Please contact the Parish office regarding preparation for celebrating this Sacrament.

Reconciliation and Eucharist - Reconciliation and Eucharist - One (or more) parent or guardian is required to attend Meetings I and II with a choice of two evenings for each meeting. The meetings take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please call the office, 410-822-6581, with any concerns or questions regarding these events.

Confirmation
Confirmation - Confirmation meets for seven weeks on Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The program begins with a day of reflection, and ends with an overnight retreat.

Initiation
RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Are you interested in learning more about our faith? Do you know someone who might want to become Catholic? Or, do you know someone who has been baptized but never received the Eucharist or Confirmation? Invite them to join us. An inquiry (a meeting for non-Catholics who have questions or are interested about Catholicism) class is forming. This group will begin meeting in September. If you know someone who might be interested, let us know by calling the Christian Formation Office at 410-822-6581 or print an RCIA brochure (see link below). Complete the info section and fax it to us at 410-822-4276 or email us at dre@ssppeaston.org.
