Saints Peter and Paul High School Self Study - 2011-2012

Saints Peter and Paul High School is currently accredited through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools through May 1, 2013. Starting in September 2011, all stakeholders involved with Saints Peter and Paul Parish High School will work together in assessing our current school community and programs and develop Student Performance Objectives (SPOs) and Action Plans that will focus on student achievement and improvement. Part of that intensive process is the detailed assessment of twelve important Middle States Standards, including, Mission/Philosophy, Governance, Facilities, Finance, Student Services, Educational Program, Graduate Profile, and others. Your involvement in the survey process or assisting with respective committees is essential to gathering a broad base of opinion and information that will assist in our Middle States protocol.

The Middle States Association's Evaluation of our MidPoint Review Report

The following is from a letter dated September 23, 2008 from Henry Cram, president of the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools:

"As part of the maintenance process for accreditation, Middle States Association now requires schools in the third year of the accreditation term to submit a MidTerm Report of its progress made to date. Specifically, the school is asked to report the progress made in the implementation of its Plan for Growth and Improvement and toward achieving its objectives. …If the Report is acceptable and/or there were no significant issues raised by the visiting team that warrant onsite follow up, the MSA staff may notify a school that a MidTerm Review Visit is not required."

Our Report was submitted to the Middle States Association in December of 2008. The following is the response we received:

"Thank you for submitting your school’s MidTerm Report. The intent of this report is to provide the Middle States Association with accurate and detailed information regarding your school’s activities and efforts to maintain its status as an accredited school. After a thorough review of your school’s MidTerm Report, it has been determined that the information and report your school submitted:

  1. Is complete and was received on time;
  2. Shows evidence the school continues to meet the Middle States Standards for Accreditation;
  3. Indicates your school is living up to the five AFG commitments;
  4. Provides evidence and data that indicates satisfactory progress has been made in the implementation of your school’s Action Plans and toward achieving the approved accreditation objectives;
  5. Presents documentation of formal reviews of your school’s Action Plans that were conducted at least annually and improvements and modifications that were made to the Action Plans in order to keep them meaningful and effective; and
  6. There are no monitoring or other issues noted in the Team Report or MidTerm Report that require an onsite visit."
